People v. J.B. Outcome: Not Guilty of all charges Description: A trial in Rochester City Court where the defendant was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest following a traffic stop. People v. S.E. Outcome: Not Guilty of all charges Description: The defendant was charged with menacing an individual with a gun in the City of Rochester. After a 3 day trial the jury acquitted the defendant of all charges. People v. A.M. Outcome: Charges dismissed on motion Description: The defendant was charged with obstructing a police officer for failing to open the door to his apartment for the police to conduct a search pursuant to a warrant. The case was dismissed after the filing a written motion explaining that the defendant's actions were not in violation of the law. People v. C.L. Outcome: Charges dismissed after pre-trial hearing Description: The defendant was charged with the possession of drugs in the city of Rochester based on an admission he made to the police. During a pre-trial hearing, Neil established that at the time of the admission the defendant was in police custody and the question was unlawful. As such, the admission was suppressed and the charges dismissed. People v. J.T. Outcome: Not guilty of Driving While Intoxicated Description: The defendant was charged with driving while intoxicated in Town Court. After a bench trial, the defendant was found not guilty of driving while intoxicated. People v. J.R. Outcome: Charges dismissed in the interest of justice Description: The defendant was charged with a crime at a local hospital. The case was dismissed in the interest of justice because Neil was able to show the Court that at the time of the incident the defendant did not have the mental capacity to form the intent needed to be charged with a crime. |
