People v. D.C. Outcome: Not Guilty on all charges Description: Client was charged with the death of her boyfriend after a domestic dispute. She was acquitted after the jury found that she acted in self defense. People v. J.Z. Outcome: Not Guilty of all criminal charges Description: Client was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and Unsafe Backing. Irondequoit police had set up a road block at 590/Empire, and the police alleged that the client backed into the intersection to avoid the check point because he was intoxicated. After trial, client was acquitted of all DWI and alcohol related offenses, guilty only of unsafe backing which is a violation under the vehicle and traffic law People v. D.D. Outcome: Charges dismissed at trial Description: Client was charged with Petit Larceny from his employer. At trial, the prosecution was unable to prove that the acts occurred at the time alleged in the charging document and the defendant's motion to dismiss was granted. People v. M.F. Outcome: Charges dismissed at trial Description: Client was charged with Resisting Arrest. The Court granted a motion to dismiss at trial, because the prosecution had failed to prove that there was a lawful basis to arrest the client. People v. E.W. Outcome: Not Guilty of all charges Description: Client was charged with Assault for an altercation with a bouncer at Tilt Nightclub. After listening to the witnesses, the bouncer as well as two other staff members, the client was acquitted of all charges after trial. People v. R.F. Outcome: Evidence suppressed / charges dismissed Description: Marijuana and other evidence suppressed. Client was charged with unlawful fleeing, AUO and UPM. Case dismissed. People v. C.P. Outcome: Charges withdrawn and dismissed before trial Description: Client was charged with Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration. All charges were withdrawn and dismissed. |
